Game Day BLT Dip

Here is another good addition to your Super Bowl munchie table (or your chick-flick buffet if you are one who doesn’t do the football thing…) The celery takes the place of lettuce in this turn on the classic bacon, lettuce and tomato combination.  The ranch and the onion pull it all together into one delicious dip.  Serve this with French bread toasts—homemade or from your market.  You can thank me later.

Game Day BLT Dip

Makes about 2 cups
Ingredients:
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup ranch dressing
1 medium tomato, diced
12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

Preparation:
In a mixing bowl combine all of the ingredients and stir until well mixed.  Refrigerate overnight to let the flavors blend together well.
